Saturday Workshops: Deep Yin, Yoga for Strength Building, Roll Into Your Bliss, Emancipating Backbends
We are delighted to offer you these opportunities to explore special topics in yoga with Mikhayla. Each workshop will be followed by a potluck and social debrief.
Deep Yin: Saturday September 17th 11-1pm
Move from the expansive qualities of summer to the internal, contractive nature of Fall in this two hour Yin Yoga workshop. In Chinese Medicine, Fall is a time to get organized, set limits and protect your boundaries. We associate this season with metal and the lungs. Yin Yoga is a style of Yoga that is informed by both Chinese medicine and martial arts. This two hour workshop will provide ample time to flow, learn new modalities about movement and cultivate restorative stillness with Yoga Instructor Mikhayla Harrell. Participants are invited to bring a dish to share in community after the workshop for a social debrief and potluck.
Yoga for Strength Building : Saturday October 29th 11-1pm
Heat up your body through your breath and movement this October with a two hour workshop designed to target stability and strength in your yoga practice and beyond. Bring your weights, your mat and prepare to tone up with sequences led by Yoga Instructor Mikhayla Harrell to make you powerful, inside and out. Participants are invited to bring a dish to share in community after the workshop for a social debrief and potluck.
Roll Into Your Bliss: Saturday November 12th 11-1pm
Have you ever experienced deep sharp pains in your body, or perhaps dull and aching “problem areas”? This two hour workshop is geared to help you use yoga breath, movement and roll out balls to break up that discomfort and lead you back to physical freedom from pain. This workshop, led by Yoga Instructor Mikhayla Harrell will focus on “rolling out,” all the common areas of the body where we experience discomfort such as the neck and shoulders, spine, low back and legs and lead you to a place of bliss and surrender. Emancipating Backbends: Saturday December 10th 11-1pm
This workshop is for the full range of backbending yogis; those excited about backbends, those who feel nervous or apprehensive about backbends and everyone in between. Backbends have an ability to create a sense of freedom and joy in our practice. This two hour workshop will explore a range of liberating backbends with props and assists. Join Yoga Instructor Mikhayla Harrell for a fun, safe and dynamic practice to open up your front body, strengthen your lower body and nourish the spine. Participants are invited to bring a dish to share in community after the workshop for a social debrief and potluck

About Mikhayla Harrell
I am an Inspired Teacher of the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga© with ERYT 500 and RYT 500. Through 16 years of teaching I have solidified skills to help students uncover and develop their optimal alignment.
I am a yogi, artist, mother, wildflower enthusiast, and a relentless learner of life. My hot new passions include Yin Yoga, nonviolent communication, Creative Mindfulness, and of course my amazing toddler Freya.
I teach Yoga to share my experience of safe, aligned, and challenging practices that allow a fuller, more embodied life. From the Tantric foundation of innate goodness I love to interweave alignment, flow, and philosophy into a unique yoga experience. Moving from detail-oriented workshop-style to dynamic sequencing, I draw from cosmic to mundane themes which offer inspiration for our practice.
