The holidays can be an extremely stressful period. Learn natural remedies that will help you to feel calm and centered. This series will be a combination of breath work (Pranayama), relaxation and meditation techniques. We will also incorporate gentle yoga postures to open the chest and encourage deep breathing. Each week a different meditation technique will be explored, including candlelight meditation (tratak), sound meditation, and sitting with the breath. This will be combined with general discussion of lifestyle choices to increase happiness and contentment, fight anxiety with Veronica Mariajarski.
Pranayama is the limb of yoga that uses the breath to affect the body and especially the mind and nervous system. Pranayama helps us to find balance by releasing excess tension in the nervous system. The breathing exercises taught in the session will help you establish a deep-seated internal awareness and to clear and focus the mind.
