Yoga for recovery
I completed a 200-hour training at the Kripalu School of Yoga under the guidance of Michelle Dalbec and Steven Leonard. I am also a certified 12-step recovery yoga space holder and was trained by the founder of Y12SR, Nikki Myers. I also completed a 100HR Ayurveda training with Dhyana and Vira Masla through YogaVeda.
I aim to lead classes with the following quote from Swami Kripalu in mind, “the highest form of spiritual practice is self-observation without judgement.”
WHY I PRACTICE
I practice to develop a deeper connection with myself and all living beings. I practice to build resilience so that I move through the world with ease, patience, kindness, and love. I practice to be reminded of the power and beauty of living in the present moment.
WHY I TEACH
I am passionate about leading safe, inclusive classes that offer alignment cues and modification options while encouraging individuals to explore the sensations, feelings, and emotions that arise throughout the practice.
