CERTIFICATIONS

I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2018 at Balance Yoga & Wellness under the instruction of Jessica Blanchard and Mikhayla Harrell. In 2019 I completed the 60-hour "Yoga Matside" training with A.J. Durand, which focused on yoga therapeutics and teaching to special populations. My continuing education has included smaller modules in trauma-informed yoga, yin and restorative, samatha meditation, and the application of polyvagal theory in movement and breathwork practices.

MY INSPIRATION

I’m inspired by complementary contradictions and exploring balance within seemingly diametric relationships—finding peaceful moments in a loud, active city; moving intuitively from a grounded, aligned center; honoring tradition as a foundation to branch out and explore the creative potential of a practice.

WHY I PRACTICE

I’m inspired by complementary contradictions and exploring balance within seemingly diametric relationships—finding peaceful moments in a loud, active city; moving intuitively from a grounded, aligned center; honoring tradition as a foundation to branch out and explore the creative potential of a practice.

WHY I TEACH

When I maintain a regular yoga practice, I feel better- physically, mentally and spiritually. I also have sharper tools to help me transition from states of  discomfort to ease. I want everyone, regardless of background, to have access to these tools, and I want to help make the entry point less intimidating. Beginning or revisiting a practice can feel vulnerable, so my goal is to create a safe and supportive space for people of all abilities to explore a relationship with yoga that meets them where they are.
