Let’s face it.
The one-size-fits-all approach to health fails.
Otherwise, we could all follow the same diet and lose weight, lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and control blood sugar. But the truth is, a diet of vegan raw foods works from some, and the paleo diet works for others.
Are you among the hordes of people who feel confused by the empty promises of fad diets, or whose health problems are ignored by Western Medicine?
Yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, tackles health problems in a fresh new way. Backed by 5,000 years of practice, this wise alternative medicine uses natural tools like foods, herbs and lifestyle. And rather than promoting pill popping and invasive surgery, Ayurveda prescribes long-term changes that actually boost your energy.
Be warned. After this retreat you’ll have tons of your friends and family knocking on your door for sane health care advice.
Over seven days, you’ll learn the basics of Ayurvedic theory and how to apply the principles to yourself, your family and your students. By reviewing your health history, your current situation, and your goals, you’ll learn how to apply the theory to your everyday life. Jessica teaches you how to understand the principles and methods enough to start to use it in your life. And then you’ll have a comprehensive reference guide for when you return home.
Benefits of using Ayurvedic methods include:
Some of the topics we’ll cover in the retreat include:
Attendees will receive a free electronic copy of Jessica’s upcoming eBook: Ayurveda: Simple, Natural and Practical Methods for a Balanced Life
The morning sessions we will apply Ayurveda to Pranayama, Meditation and Asana practice. For example, learn and experience what a vata-pacifying asana practice would comprise.

Travel
There are many routes to Thailand via Asia or Europe. I usually book an international ticket from New Orleans to Bangkok, then a separate ticket from Bangkok to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways. The flight to Samui is one hour and very easy. There is a comfy lounge for all travelers with free coffee, internet, and snacks while you wait.
If you’re interested but worried about travel, please contact me (jessica (@) balanceyogawellness.com). I traveled to Samui with my son Dylan last year, and it was long, but fine. I will travel to Samui one or two days before the retreat start, you’re welcome to join me in the travel over.
Jessica teaches people of all walks of life how to use yoga, ayurveda and nutrition to feel vibrant, energetic and relaxed — in person at Balance Yoga & Wellness in New Orleans and online at www.stopfeelingcrappy.com. Yoga and Ayurveda transformed Jessica’s life, and now she wants to help you find your best self without using drugs and surgery.
