Are you ready to boost your energy?
Are you ready to get fitter, stronger and more flexible?
You need to learn ashtanga yoga — traditional yoga with a twist.
You won’t find music or lots of talk. Instead the instructor will teach you a series of postures, one-by-one. The sequence builds strength and flexibility quickly because you practice the same postures with daily add-ons.
Don’t let the sanskrit fool you: you’ve probably practiced some version of ashtanga in flow or vinyasa-style classes.
Believe it or not, most people hesitate before they trying a new type of yoga. It’s normal to feel scared before you step into the unknown.
The workshops take place in the morning, because when you wake a little earlier to fit in yoga, you’ll notice a big boost in your energy.
The postures build all-over body strength, flexibility and fitness. The breathing will calm your mind and alleviate stress.
You’ll work closely with your teacher so you can be confident you’re doing the poses correctly to avoid injury.
By the end of the workshop you’ll know quite a bit of the primary series along with daily breathing and meditation techniques.
You’ll also be primed to attend Mysore style Ashtanga Classes.
Feel like your yoga practice is stuck?
You’ll learn pranayama (breathing) to cleanse your nervous system and meditation to calm your mind. Touch upon yoga philosophy to live mindfully in the present moment. Learn how to channel your worries about the past or anxiety about the future.
Would you like to be a kinder, gentler person?
Learn about yoga philosophy so that you can enhance your relationships, live according to your deeper values, and find your purpose. Learn to bring mindfulness into other aspects of your life.
