Laura will also sub the Align & Refine classes, Saturday July 25th 9:30am & Tuesday July 28th 6pm.
These classes with Laura will be an introduction to the Sridaiva system of mindful movement with its paradigm-shifting Bowspring alignment. Rather than focusing on how to do certain postures, the Bowspring alignment teaches you how to create a dynamic neutral posture that can be carried into any activity. This alignment process involves the entire connective tissue fabric in such a way that you will experience whole-body lightness and power as new neuromuscular patterning is engaged and old patterns of holding tension in the body are released. We will learn the basic alignment and then challenge our ability to maintain it through mindful systematic engagement, dynamic exercises, and postures that are continually expanding. Because we will be looking at our physical yoga practice through a whole different lens, students will be best served by attending as many sessions as possible over the course of the week. The longer classes will conclude with seated meditation or short yoga nidra.
Saturday 2:30 – 5:00, $35, and Wednesday 9:00 – 10:30, $15 ($45 if you preregister for both)
Pre-booking recommended, Laura’s workshops usually fill!
