Saturday April 1st
12:00-2pm
Did you know Pranayama is the bridge between Meditation and Asana? “Prana” means “breath” or “life force”. “Yama” means “control”. Therefore pranayama means “controlling the breath or life force”.
In this 1.5 hour workshop we will look at the anatomy & physics of the breath, sooth the nervous system, calm the mind & lower our blood pressure.
You will learn a classical Pranayama Practice described in the Hathayoga Pradipika by Swami Swatamarama dating back to 15th Century CE.
What to bring:
- An empty stomach! (Have at least a 2hr break in between your last meal and class time. Or have something very light.)
