Restore and Radiate—an extended Restorative practice with Amy Archinal, PRYT, E-RYT

Sunday August 16th, 2- 4 pm

Restorative yoga offers you the chance to unwind from your hectic day-to-day life. It also allows you to release muscular tension and emotional stress, and to connect more deeply with your inner essence. Your body is supported in gentle yoga poses using bolsters and blankets and small adjustments are offered to enhance relaxation in each pose.

Judith Lassiter describes restorative postures as “poses of being rather than doing”. Restorative yoga can promote healing from within and is appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners; for some it provides balance to more active vinyasa practices, to others it may be a beautiful and gentle introduction to the benefits of yoga.
Selected sutras from Lorin Roches’ The Radiance Sutras,  an amazing translation of the Bhairava Tantra, will be shared and savored to heighten the meditative aspects of the practice.

As Lorin Roche says “Life is always inviting us into a deeper relationship with breath, with the pulsing of our hearts and emotions…Meditation is diving into your entire sensorium so fearlessly that you go beyond it into the core of your being and rest there. This is yoga of delight, awe and wonder.”

Free for BYW Members (on monthly autopay), you must RSVP here.
$20 for general public, RSVP here.
