In this 6 session series you will examine how neuroscience and psychology validate the positive effects of contemplative practices, such as yoga and meditation on the brain.
From a layman’s perspective, learn how yoga practices actually change brain chemistry to make you happier. Each class will feature yoga practice and discussion of the book Buddha’s Brain: The practical neuroscience of happiness, love and wisdom by Rick Hanson and Richard Mendius. You will leave the series with a personalized practice to help you access the inactive potential of your brain and shape it over time for more peace of mind and happiness. Books can be purchased on amazon here.
Please bring a copy of Buddha’s Brain, a notebook, and pen to each session. Please note that a minimum of 4 students is required to run the session.
