VINYASA YOGA
CERTIFICATIONS
I was born and raised in Connecticut and came to New Orleans originally to attend Tulane University. I worked as a chef in the food industry for most of his time here, eventually leaving New Orleans to become a yoga teacher (2018), get my masters in social work (2022), travel the US, moved to Brussels (Belgium) as a guest instructor for a well-established fitness studio (2023). I am very happy to be back in the city I fell in love with during my 10 years living here. Expect a strong yoga class connecting not only breath to movement with fun tunes and high energy, but also learning proper body positions within a creative flow.
MY INSPIRATION
I always had a passion for helping others. I had originally started doing yoga as something I could do with my sister to be able to spend more time with her given both of our busy lives. What I came to find out was the 8 limbs of yoga offer so much more than JUST time to reconnect with my sister. It helped my mind and body, in my own way - as yoga does for us, that I knew I wanted to learn as much about yoga just to be able to share it with others.
WHY I PRACTICE
Yoga taught me how to breathe in a way that improved my life drastically (if you know you know) and also to move my body in a way that allowed me to feel more than just comfortable, but happy with who I was/am/will-be. moment.
WHY I TEACH
With that feeling, I couldn't not learn more about yoga, as already a passion of mine was helping others, given my social work background and life experiences
